Happy Birthday My Lil' Angel,
You Are The Apple Of My Eyes!
May your spirit keep the freedom
of a butterfly in spring,
and may your heart be filled always
with the joys of simple things.
May your essence claim the freshness
of the new laid morning dew.
All of this... and more...
is my Birthday wish for you, Mommy's little angel!
Special Song On The Snow Storm
On 2008 we had a family Christmas reunion in Seattle washington, my little girl was just 1 1/2 month at that time, didn't want to take her by plane so we ( me, my husband, my sister and the two kids) decided to drove from LA to Seattle-Washington, little that we knew we were going to encounter the worst snow storm ever. On the way from LA to Oregon the weather was sunny and beautiful but when we hit Oregon. the state gets blasted with frigid cool temps and record breaking snowfall and ice that Oregon has seen in 40 years and we were in the middle of that. I remembered just seeing dark in the middle of the day, we could only see as far as one car in front of us, everything that I saw, frozen! even the Portland bridge, the metal was frozen too, there wasn't winter wonderland, I saw things that I only see on the movies before and there was a time we drove hours without seeing any other cars on the freeway, we were the only car driving in the dark an icy road 15 miles an hour on the middle of the day. My daughter spent her first Christmas in the middle of the storm, stranded inside the car, I remembered watching her while she was sleeping and keep whispering and apologizing to her for taking her far away from home, and on the radio I heard this song played, I just burst into tears! this song is really special to me. After 4 days on the road finally we reached our destination (the travel usually only take us 19 hours for LA to Seattle, WA) I thank God for keep us save and finally, Alie for the first time she met the rest of the family in Seattle!
